Carex Maorica is usually found in wetlands, swampy areas.  It can also be found along river banks, lake margins, ponds and clearings within forests. It grows into upright arching clumps, and also considered for mass planting in landscapes or regeneration plantings.  It prefers wet areas.  Hardy. Evergreen.

This grass is endemic to New Zealand. NZ Native.
