My citrus trees are getting a black sort of mould on the leaves and I can’t seem to get rid of it.

The mould is relatively harmless, but indicates that an insect was or is present (usually aphids, whiteflies or scales). They feed on the undersides of the leaves and secrete a sticky, clear fluid that drops onto the leaves below. To get rid of the insects spray the trees with copper oil.
